Name: Espionage "Espio" Abel Akero
Face used: John Patrick Amedori
Age: Seventeen
Occupation: Student/Comic book shop employee
Personality: Espio is one of those boys always found lurking a comic book shop and attending every comic convention that his parents will give him the money to attend. Even going all out to the point of dressing up and taking the roll of comic book characters when he sees fit. He is a huge fanboy of many things, most fictional, and especially zombies. He has the confidence in himself that he can make it through this entire zombie invasion using all the knowledge he has from the video games, comics and movies he has spent time with. Espio believes that, if the people in the movies can do it, so can he. Though they seemed to be a lot better with weapons than he was. Espio can't even aim a gun without missing his target by meters.
The boy is always trying to be very serious. Even when he comes up with insane plans and ideas, people might think he's crazy. But he means them entirely and expects others to go through with them. Espio isn't stupid. Without much a life, he doesn't have much else to do than homework for school. Even extra credit. He's smarter than people take him for, he's just often labeled crazy over those fanboy tendencies of his. To most people, Espio is just a child who has shockingly survived for this long. Then again, the boy much prefers to hide himself away, ordering others to do the dirty work. He isn't a fighter. He prefers to use his brains and be the one to plan it all out. Now if only he could find someone to take him seriously.
There are a few anger issues that come with Espio. They're usually shown when no one will listen to him and do what he says. He wants his chance to lead and be the hero for once instead of the usual boy he is who sits in his room all day, geeking out over everything and too lazy to get out and soak in some vitamin D. The boy does have a rather huge ego. It's what leads to a lot of his anger. He thinks he's highly intelligent and sexy, but not everyone agrees with him. You can find Espio's temper as well when males try to touch him. The boy is highly homophobic. If another male were to even try and hug him, he would go on a rant about how gay they are and how gross it is to like another man like that. Same goes for watching other men hug or do anything together. Even lesbians are something he can't handle watching. Though this homophobia may just be a way to cover up his own homosexuality that he really hopes he doesn't have.
Background: What started as a family of four quickly evolved into a family of seven. It had just been Espio, his mother, his father, and his little sister, Siri. But a car crash took away his aunt and uncle who had three children. Espio's parents, being the kind souls that they were, took in the three young ones. The oldest was a boy named Joshua. Espio learned to hate him. They were always fighting and Joshua was everything Espio wanted to be. Tall, artistic, good aim and that badass I-don't-care-about-anything personality. The two fought constantly, usually ending with Espio's loss. The second of the cousin was Rudolf. Espio and Rudy got along fantastically. To a point where he got possessive and didn't even want his own family near him. Which is why, when Rudy got friends and even a boyfriend, Espionage got pissed. He didn't want his cousin to spend even a moment away from him and he definitely didn't want his cousin being a gay freak. The third child was a girl name Faery. She was a sweet soul, always wearing a smile and trying to help everyone out. But Espio didn't care. She tried to spend time with Rudy, so Espio tried to ignore her existence.
School time wasn't the best time for Espio. He didn't want to be there. He did have his few friends, but he got bullied. Bullies like someone they could get a reaction out of and, every time Espio was teased for any reason they could come up with, he would explode at them, only to end up stuffed in a trash can or even a locker. Espio would never skip school though. He would never give in to the bullies and let them scare him away. In fact, Espio started doing more school. Along with the classes he took at his school, he took classes over the internet as well, which he greatly preferred. Espio was a huge computer geek. It's where he spent all his time. All the MMORPGs. He was addicted to them. Espio wanted to know everything he could about computers, which is how he learned to hack. It wasn't easy for him. It took time and patience, which Espio had a lot of when it came to his computer. So, through his high school years, he was able to successfully learn many hacking skills, as well as how to upgrade the security on any computer in his household.
There were a couple accidents throughout Espio's lifetime, but most of them weren't really involving him. Except the damage to Faery. The few times Espio talked to that girl, he would tell her that she's a real fairy. Someone, Espio's sister, gave Faery the final push to attempt flight from a cliff. It ended with her paralyzed from the waist down. No one actually knew that Siri had made Faery do it. Espio was the one blamed for her loss due to his habit of telling her she's a fairy. After how often people told him this, he started to believe that it really was his fault. The loss of Joshua wasn't his fault though, shockingly. It wasn't that Joshua died or got damaged. He just disappeared. Not even a goodbye to anyone. They searched around for information out of his friends and what they concluded was that the boy ran away. But no one went after him. Joshua was old enough to make his own decisions and they could only hope he'd come back.
On the day the zombies began to appear, Espio was alone. Faery and Rudy were off at school while his parents were working. The only reason Espio stayed home was due to a little cold that he made look far worse than it really was. But as days went by and he watched the news, he found out about the epidemic. He was stoked. For years he'd told people that the zombies would come and very few seemed to believe him. But his excitement was shot as, day after day, he waited for his family and they never showed up. Most of the days were spent in the attic were a pair of binoculars, observing the monsters out there and taking notes. He wanted to make sure he got all the details so that he could find their weakness and live. He couldn't stay inside forever though. Which is when, after almost a month, a man broke into the house. A hooded man who had almost killed the boy. But Espio took it as his perfect chance to get out of his house before he ran entirely out of food. So Espio followed the hooded figure out the door, allowing himself to trust a stranger who had almost slit his throat. But, with him, he took all his writing. He had to complete his guide on the zombies. Maybe then he'd get it published and become world famous. If he died, he'd love if someone found his work and did something useful with it.
