I know, Military Characters are a big thing in zombie rps. You start off with more training than the average survivor, more weapons and equipment.
However, for that reason, Military characters tend to over power the lesser civilian characters.
Background Rules:
Your character can be any of these branches
US Army
US Marine Corps
US Navy
US Air Force
US Coast Guard
National Guard
Air National Guard
Your Character CANNOT be: US Special Forces (unless I say other wise, so don't even try): US Army Green Berets, US Marine Force Recon/ MARSOC, US Navy Seals, US Air Force Para Jumpers. Special Forces characters are TOO over powered and WILL NOT be allowed on this RP forum.
Military History:
Your character MAY NOT have a higher rank than O-3 (US Army/Marine Corps/Air Force Captain, US Navy/Coast Guard Lieutenant). The US Military doesn't have a bunch of Senior NCOs running around either, so don't think I'll let this forum have a lot either, for that reason I will also not allow any enlisted ranks higher than an E-7 (Army: Sergeant First Class, Marines: Gunnery Sergeant, Air Force: Master Sergeant, Navy/Coast Guard: Chief Petty Officer)
For any rank give it Officer (O-1 or O-2) or enlisted, (E-1 to E-7), the history and military service rank should be realistic, E-1 to E-3 are new and generally have anywhere from 0-3 years under their belt, going up the ranks, there is probably a 2-6 year gap on average between any of the lower ranks so take that into consideration before you make your character history. ex. An E-4 character might have anywhere from 4-6 years of experience under their belt, where an E-5 may be from 5-9 years. It all depends on circumstanaces to their promotion (the higher rank you are, THE MORE DEPTH ONTO WHEN, HOW, and WHY they were promoted to the rank they now are).
Weapons:
The US Military generally does not allow soldiers to have too many "special weapons" the reason is a. uniformity and ammo, if all of your weapons fire the same standard ammo, that's less cost and its more easily distributed, Jones won't have to have his own special ammo because his weapon fires 6.8 rather than 5.56.
All military characters are only allowed purchase either an M9 Beretta, M4, or M16 from the shop (at the start of the RP in any case). Because all new players only receive [SP]20, I will give out [SP] to all accepted military characters to allow them to buy one of these weapons. Of course, you could always have no weapons.
Items:
Under the items part of your bio, don't list out any weapons, backpacks or body armor. Everything else go for it. The reason is, you must buy Weapons (M16, M4 etc,) Body Armor and packs separately from the site shop.
Last thoughts:
Because Military characters are so over powered, I will only allow 5 TOTAL military characters on this forum (for now anyways).
They will be posted here:
