Roleplaying Guidelines
1. No god-modding. We're aiming for a realistic portrayal of a zombie apocalypse, a character-driven story. The last thing we want is for this to turn into a mindless killing spree with badass, flawless characters. You're not Rambo, you're just an average citizen who has probably never used a gun before. You're not immune to the virus, and you're bound to get hurt as well since the world has become a dangerous place.
2. No powerplaying. You can't control the thoughts or actions of any other character except yours. Harming or killing off other characters also falls under this category. You can't do it unless the other player gives you their consent. If the handler is inactive, they will be dealt with accordingly.
3. Don't make any drastic changes to the story without our approval. While we encourage creativity, we don't exactly want people to discover the cure, add new types of infected, or anything like that. You still have a lot of freedom, just try to respect the world that we created.
4. Remain active. If you signed up, that's the least you can do. You don't have to post ten times a day, nor are we demanding an essay from you every single time. If you are involved in a thread with another member, all we ask is that you post a minimum of once every two days. If you have a personal issue or emergency and need to take a short LOA (three, four days) contact the others involved in the thread and inform them if at all possible. After two days of not responding to a thread with no explanation, the other member or members involved will have the right to write themselves out of the thread and move on. This is done only in fairness to the more active member(s). This is not a punishment as we understand that sometimes computer problems arrive and it is not possible to get the word out. It is done merely so as not to be unfair to the other(s) involved. If the absence is not exceedingly long the inactive member will be welcomed back and allowed to start or join another thread. Of course if you contact the other members of the thread and they agree to wait this is fine too. They may very well wait the three or four days and then continue on. It is just an option to ensure no one that wants to RP is trapped in a stagnant thread and unable to post.
5. You're allowed to handle multiple characters as long as you RP for each one consistently. We don't expect large paragraphs for each person, but at least give a quick update on what they're up to. There's no point in having four guys if two of them aren't doing anything. To create a new character, you should create another account to avoid confusion.
6. Spell check. Use it. We're by no means grammar nazis, but we expect you to write something presentable.
7. No one-liners, we're aiming for 100 words minimum. Writer's block happens to all of us, so just try your best to contribute.
Survival Points
Once you register AND make a character, you will be given 20 survival points, [SP]. These points will act as our reward system: for each post you make, you earn another one. This is to encourage activity, and have everyone work their way up. If you think you've saved up enough, you can visit our shop located next to the logout button, and buy what you want. But remember, you can only have five items at a time, so choose wisely; clothes and food aren't relevant here. Please don't try to take advantage of the point system, as we'll be onto you if you decide to up your post count by spamming.
Ammunition
Ammunition won't be available for purchase because we want to keep things simple, but we are indeed imposing a limit. Your character can only have the full round-capacity of whatever weapon you acquire. That means if you have a semi-auto pistol, you can have 15 rounds. If you have a rifle, that's 30. For a revolver, it's 6 bullets. Anything over is too much, because if you have abundant ammo, there's no sense of urgency.
Gas
If you want to buy a vehicle, you'll have to pay for gas as well. After driving around in X amount of posts (depending on the car), you have to refuel. Obviously the post limit only applies if you're actually using the vehicle. Please be honest. One suggestion from me would be to put after every post using a vehicle:

Gas left: 4 posts
or
Fuel in tank: 7 posts etc etc
